input:output

Optimization of digital Publications on Tablets. With the introduction of the tablet a new medium of a rapidly growing number of users has presented itself. By his interactivity, the renunciation of separate input elements and the special kind of control through gestures it forms a hybrid between computer, television, smartphone and eReader. Many analogous publications were already transferred on this relatively young medium. However, many of it are formed after the current principles in the print area. This work argues with the need to reconsider an appropriate adaptation for this medium. With reference to user groups and their expectations, media specifications as well as the comparison to the analogous predecessors, input:output gives proposals for the creation of appropriate content for this medium, with a specific focus on user and usability.
